Tips for Living with Blindness or a Visual Impairment

Blindness or visual impairment doesn't have to keep you from doing the things you want to do, like working, cooking, shopping, or caring for your home or family. There are many simple techniques that other visually impaired people like yourself have discovered for performing everyday tasks at home and at work.

Try some of these common sense tips to make your life easier. With practice, you can perform many tasks as quickly and efficiently as you did before. Additional tips, techniques and training are available through the Division for Blind Services.
